Kind attention
Passengers,
Our vehicle named
earth is traveling at the rate of 108,000 kilometers per hour around the star
called ‘Sun’. At the same time, we are self-rotating at the rate of 1675
kilometer per hour and complete one cycle in 24 hours. In a way, we are in an
interesting ‘roller coaster’ that travels in two forms.
Along with the earth,
there are millions and billions and trillions of stars, planets, moons, comets, asteroids, minor planets, dust and inhabitants are
traveling in this solar system!!!..
Whereas, our group captain, the great “Sun” has more to
share about his adventurous trip. He is traveling towards the constellation
of Hercules at the speed of 72000 kilometers an hour along with its entire solar
system!...
Head spinning?!!!.. Not over yet..
This entire family constellation of Hercules which is 4,600,000,000
year old is traveling upwards at a speed of 828,000 kilometer in an hour.
See, we are part of on an expedition that is beyond imagination. At a time,
turning around self, roaming around the sun, moving towards a constellation and
going upwards altogether!
So; next time, if someone ask you, why you are not doing anything and sitting
idle, you can respond that, you are on a bon-voyage in an unimaginable speed in
‘multi-directions’.
But, do you know, how dangerous this voyage is? Have you heard about
“Supernova? A supernova is a stellar explosion that briefly
outshines an entire galaxy, radiating as much energy as the Sun or any ordinary
star is expected to emit over its entire life span, before fading from view
over several weeks or months.
On our way, our superman sun is dribbling us thru
several supernovas, many dangerous stars that are million times bigger than the
Sun and who can finish us of in a fraction of a second! Brilliant Sun. Isn’t
it? But, his travel is only allowed within the ‘family’ property of Milky Way
galaxy who is the chieftain of this group of voyagers. Don’t think that, this
property is too small.
One round trip within this ‘property’ itself needs
250,000,000 years. If we travel at the
speed of light, then also we need 100,000 years to travel from one side to the
other of this Milky Way.
Who is this ‘chieftain’ Milky Way? The Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy some 100,000–120,000 light-years in diameter, which contains 100–400
billion stars. It may contain at least as many planets as well. And this Milky-way is also traveling containing all of us at a
speed of 2,000,000 kilometer per hour towards the eternity. And in that
travel, Milky-way has numerous friends too similar or bigger than her whom also
contains in-numerous counts of stars, planets and all in their own congregation.
Does anyone know where all of them are heading to? And for what this
rapturous journey is for? No is the answer so far. The knowledge so far
attained by the Science is inadequate. This prosaic
truth is the cause for further research and the curiosity behind the eternal
inquest of humankind. The more you research, the more you learn. Still, the
desire for knowledge of the human beings will be eternal like this universe.
Happy
Journey!
